Kat Parrish, aka Mrs. Pea, is a native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Her passions lie in the wellness of others. This is why her career focus lies heavily in producing children's books with subtle moral and social lessons in self acceptance, awareness and esteem.As a mother of three, "Mrs. Pea" develops her stories in accordance with her children, aka her "pod". Kat stands behind her passion to see people live their lives to the fullest, despite life's trials and tribulations. Her most current project, a memoir of her own accounts, directly confronts the issues a young mother faces when post-partum depression attempts to steal away the joy of motherhood. Look to this to come to you in 2008. Kat attended Bishop Neumann High School where she was awarded Valedictorian honors. In her higher education pursuits, Kat was encouraged to submit her writings into the schools essay scholarship program. What you will see from this budding author, is what has been dying to be told and explored. Kat remarks, "May all who read these various works understand that a tainted childhood and the demons that tag along do not have to foreshadow the rest of your days. One is only alone when they close their eyes to the help that is around them.
