Relevant, real
and raw, this documentary seeks to explore the contributing factors that lead
to or increase the risk of homelessness experienced by veterans by
following the journeys of three men: A combat veteran whose sole
mission is to get his homeless brothers off the streets of Washington, D.C.; a
survivor of the Tet Offensive who answered his calling and now serves the men
who walk through his shelters’ doors; and a displaced veteran, damaged by a car
accident and the mistakes of his past, whose quest to rebuild his personal
foundation leads him out of his comfort zone.
Written, produced and directed by Alivia C. Tagliaferri, co-produced
by Nancy E. Mantelli and associate producer/editor Jon Sonnheim,
the production crew consists of three award-winning college-bound
student filmmakers pursuing higher degrees in the field of motion
pictures including Marcus Clarke, Nathan Baer and Cory
Jones. All three of the students are graduates of Mantelli's Professional Television
Production class at West Potomac Academy in Alexandria,VA.

OUR MISSION & GOALS
Using dynamic media to present information, the
mission of
Beyond The Wall: Homeless Zone is three-fold:
1.
Accurately and honestly document homeless veterans and the people who
support them in a non-exploitive, non-biased manner.
2. Raise awareness and foster discussion of an issue that has potential to
become a growing concern.
3. Provide citizens with resources to help end and prevent homelessness
among veterans by educating them on ways to support veterans and the
organizations that care for them.
Our goal is to expand Beyond The Wall: Homeless Zone
into a media awareness campaign designed to engage, educate
and embrace audiences, in a non-biased manner, to actively participate in the
effort to end and prevent homelessness among veterans.
