Alivia C. Tagliaferri, Director/Writer/Co-Producer
Alivia
C. Tagliaferri is founder of Ironcutter Media, LLC, a hybrid publishing
and production company that blends socially-conscious themes with
traditional and new media technologies to create ‘media that matters,’
specializing in publishing and producing historical fiction, children’s
book and reference genres, including ‘Still the Monkey, What Happens to
Warriors after War,’ the Mrs. Pea Children’s Book Series (June 2008),
and The Homeless Zone documentary (in production).
An alumnus of Pennsylvania
State University (1999, BA History), Tagliaferri is the author of
‘Still the Monkey, What Happens to Warriors after War,’ (March 2007) a
work of historical fiction portraying the mentor relationship of a
warrior of old and warrior of today dealing with life after combat and
post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Her research with experts in the
field of post-traumatic stress was culminated in the article, ‘What
Every Veteran’s Family and Friend Needs to Know about Post Traumatic
Stress and PTSD’ published in the Veterans Voice (July 2007).
Alivia
was a production coordinator at Ikoya Productions and Executive Vice
President of Productions for a start up new media broadcasting company,
coordinating production of videos for Yorktel Media and the USO of
Metro DC, Jim Brickman music video “Sending you a Little Christmas”
taped as part of the USO Care Package at BWI Airport, and the NCAA
Women’s Pre-Season NIT Final (Ohio State v. Notre Dame) overseeing the
live broadcast to the troops via the Armed Forces Network, and most
recently associate producer for the live broadcast of the National
Memorial Day 2008 Parade.
In
addition to her creative managerial duties with Ironcutter Media, she
presents literary discussions on combat PTSD, marketing creativity
workshops for high school students, and has appeared as a guest on
several radio shows.
Nancy E. Mantelli, Co-Producer
Nancy E. Mantelli has worked in the production world since 1996 when she was an intern on the set for Buffalo ’66,
an independent movie produced and directed by Vincent Gallo. Since then
she has gone on to get her Master’s in Producing Film and Video from
American University in Washington DC.
She is founder of WHI Productions LLC,
a turnkey production company with clients such as Gold’s Gym, HUD, the
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Procter &
Gamble and Cisco Systems. She was script supervisor on two other
independent films, including Fatwa, a movie produced by Carol Flaisher of Flaisher Films,
directed by John Carter and starring Lauren Holly and Roger G. Smith.
Currently, she is teaching all aspects of video production at West
Potomac Academy, a Fairfax County Public School that specializes in
teaching electives to students from an industry standard perspective.
She resides in Herndon, VA with her husband, three children and dog.
Below the Line
Marcus Clarke, Videographer/Editor
A
graduate of Hayfield High School, Marcus was recently honored at the
Cinema City Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA, as winner of the Casting
Hope’s challenge to produce a public service announcement on a charity
of choice. Clarke won for his PSA supporting Best Buddies. Marcus will
handle Camera #1 and editing duties before leaving for the University
of North Carolinia's School of the Arts, School of Film-making.
Nathan Baer, 2nd Videographer/Assistant Editor/ Gaffer/Grip
An award-winning student film-maker and international traveler, Nathan joins our team as b-roll camera operator, gaffer, 2nd
grip and editing assistant. Nathan is college-bound this fall
to Columbia College in Chicago, IL, a comprehensive college for the
visual, performing and media arts.
Cory Jones, Assistant Director, Marketing Manager (Alternate Gaffer/Grip)
A talented and budding writer,
Cory Jones joins the team as Assistant Director and Marketing Manager
to co-develop and execute the marketing plan including outreach to
advertisers, sponsors, partnering organizations and target markets,
and co-handle media and public relations. Cory Jones is also
entering Columbia College of Film this fall semester with an emphasis
in script-writing.
